Our Custom Facial Treatments:

Facial treatments at Defy Aesthetic are not just about pampering; they’re personalized to address each patient’s specific skin concerns such as uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, and more. Each customized Defy treatment starts with a detailed consultation with our expert aestheticians who will evaluate your skin type and goals to choose the best facial treatment for you.

Here’s What to Expect During Your Custom Facial:

Cleansing: We start by deeply cleansing your skin to remove makeup, dirt, and impurities. This clears the way for better absorption of the products and tools we will use next!

Custom Skin Analysis: During this time, we carefully look at your skin at 10x magnification with our magnifying tool. This specially designed device helps to closely inspect the skin's texture, pores, and any underlying issues that may not be visible to the naked eye. This analysis helps us better understand your skin and allows us to create a targeted treatment plan!

Exfoliation: Next, we gently scrub away dead skin cells to reveal smoother, brighter skin. Depending on what your skin needs, we might use enzyme scrubs, exfoliating masks, and special acids like AHAs to exfoliate! For maximum exfoliation, we recommend a light chemical peel. We can apply this solution to your skin which offers similar benefits to a traditional VI chemical peel, but on a much smaller scale. 

Dermaplaning: If you know us, you know we are big fans of facial dermaplaning! Dermaplaning is a non-invasive exfoliation treatment that involves using a sterile surgical scalpel to gently scrape away the top layer of dead skin cells and fine vellus hair also known as “peach fuzz.” While this concept may sound similar to shaving, it is very different and offers many more glowy benefits including smoother makeup application, brighter skin, and allowing your skincare products to penetrate more effectively. Extractions: It’s totally normal to have blackheads, whiteheads, and congestion - particularly in the summer when our oil glands are often stuck in overdrive. We gently remove these impurities to keep your skin clear and fresh! Bonus points for our Ultrasonic Exfoliation tool which is great for removing hard-to-remove embedded sebum - the oily substance produced by the sebaceous glands in the skin.

Facial Massage: Nothing beats a relaxing facial massage! Not only is it relaxing for the mind, but it boosts circulation, soothes overworked muscles, and drains the lymph nodes to reduce puffiness and leave you with sculpted results! 

Face Masks: Next, we apply a custom mask that perfectly matches your skin’s needs - whether it’s hydrating, detoxifying, soothing, or anti-aging. While it works its magic, you’ll enjoy a soothing scalp, neck, and hand massage for even more relaxation! If you haven’t tried our jelly mask, you’re in for a treat! Your aesthetician applies a thick jelly-like mix to your entire face, lets it sit for a few moments, and then peels off to reveal bright and super-hydrated skin! Light Therapy: We love to wind down a facial with a few minutes under our LightStim. It delivers light energy in a similar way to how plants absorb light energy from the sun! LightStim therapy boosts collagen and elastin production in the skin and helps to calm down inflammation, as well as acne. It also enhances blood circulation, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to skin cells for healthier skin overall.

Serums and Moisturizers: To finish off, we apply medical-grade serums and moisturizers that are just right for your skin type. These products nourish, lock in that juicy hydration, and protect your skin making sure you get the most out of your facial treatment!

Tailoring Treatments to Different Skin Types and Concerns:

Acne-Prone Skin: For clients struggling with acne, we offer treatments designed to cleanse pores, reduce inflammation, and balance oil production. We use a powerful combination of superstar ingredients like salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide and manual techniques like extractions to target acne-causing bacteria, address active breakouts, and prevent future breakouts. Some of our favorite treatments to target acne are custom facials, chemical peels, and our BBL Photofacial. For acne scars, we highly recommend microneedling with PRP. 

Aging Skin: To combat signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of collagen and elastin, our facials focus on stimulating collagen production and improving skin tone and texture. We use effective ingredients like peptides, retinoids, and vitamin C to rejuvenate and firm the skin!

Dry or Dehydrated Skin: Hydration is key for dry skin, so our custom facials for this skin type focus on replenishing moisture and restoring the skin's barrier function.
